LaFonda White is a licensed financial professional committed to promoting financial literacy within various communities. With a diverse skill set that encompasses financial planning as well as interpreting complex federal, state, and local regulations, LaFonda is an adept leader in employment, public assistance, and rental assistance programs. Her excellent training, mentoring, and interpersonal skills solidify her reputation as a rising leader in her field. Driven by a personal mission to positively impact the lives of others, she brings a unique blend of expertise and compassion to her work.

LaFonda earned her bachelor's degree in Marketing from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Over her illustrious career, she has been honored with numerous awards, including Team Excellence Awards in 2004 and 2009, the BEZA Ethiopian Community Services Golden Award, and the 2010 Congeniality Employee of the Year Award. She served on the Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Ethics (EDIE) Council, a Fairfax County employee-driven initiative committed to promoting equity and eliminating discrimination. Her service to the EDIE Council concluded upon her retirement from the County of Fairfax in August 2020, marking 35 years of dedicated public service.

Active in her community, LaFonda is a member of the First Mount Zion Baptist Church in Dumfries, Virginia, where she assists in the Money Smart ministry. When she's not working or volunteering, her leisure activities include spending quality time with family and friends, traveling, and indulging in spa visits.
